logomerFor many years Pilardière are leader in the use of marine algae for the treatment of drinking water. The objective is bring to naturally and in a sustainable way about a correction of pH and remineralization of too acidic waters in certain French départements. By simply passing water on a layer of carefully selected and calibrated calcareous marine algae, it is possible to make drinking water irrespective of its initial pH to bring it close to neutrality. It is this property and its expertise in water chemistry that Pilardière was able to exploit to propose Sophy Mer.

Rapid efficacy and adaptable dose

During in-vitro testing in liquid media, the R & D Pilardière department was able to demonstrate that the pH correction time is achieved in just a few minutes. But also that the balance between the granulometry and the concentration of limestone marine algae is paramount to reach a goal of pH. 100 g limestone seaweed can process up to 1000 liters.

A natural contribution of essential oligo-elements

Limestone marine algae provide a source of calcium, magnesium bioavailable. A recent publication (JEVS 2010) reports their marked effect on bone metabolism in horses. Like all marine products, Sophy Mer contains essential trace elements such as iodine and selenium. It is recognized today that organic forms are more effective for the animal and their use allows a revitalizing effect.
